Story

On 3rd September 2013, Emma Day sadly and unexpectedly grew her angel wings and flew away. She has left a huge gaping hole in so many peoples' lives. She was one of a kind, a true force of nature, a whirlwind of energy and love. She had a unique ability to make everyone she knew feel loved and special, and would do anything she could to help someone out, no task was too big; you could always count on Emma. On 8th September 2013, we were holding our Fun Day to raise money for Ellie's fund. Emma was gutted she wouldn't be able to make it. In our last conversation on the Sunday before she passed away I told her not to worry and to concentrate on getting herself better. She said "I know but I just want to support you"; and that was Emma - always putting others before herself. Rob asked me what I thought to asking for donations received at Emma's funeral, to go to Ellie's Forever Fund. Once I'd wiped the tears from my eyes I agreed that it was a lovely idea given that she'd missed the Fun Day, and that it feels right in my heart. I know that this is what Emma would have wanted us to do. I have created a tribute page for Emma within the Forever Fund so that people can make donations online and leave messages. It will show how much has been raised for Meningitis UK in Emma's memory, which I have a feeling will be as awesome as the lady herself. Lots of love Mrs D, a piece of you lives on in us all. We all have so many happy and wonderful memories to cherish, and we are all so grateful to have known you, loved and laughed with you. Always in our hearts xxx
